scene is an aesthetic and movement that was most popular from the mid 2000s to early 2010s, with the aesthetic being remade and altered to become scenecore, the more popular form today. people involed in the original scene culture were usually known as 'scene kids'. scene is sometimes mistakenly confused with or interchanged with emo. although the two do overlap somewhat, they are still noticeably different. some of the most popular music genres connected with scene culture are crunkcore, deathcore, electronic, pop punk, and post-hardcore.
